INSPIRE

Sr. Regina Marie Bernet, OP, was a Dominican Sister from Sacred Heart Convent in Springfield, Illinois. This beloved former teacher, art therapist and school principal, later worked with women prisoners and served God and her community in numerous other ways, such as visiting with the sick and disabled. In her spare time, she drew and painted, and wrote poetry and reflections. Bernet's book is Reflections: Art and Verse of Divine Love.

Longtime host of the radio program The Flyover Zone, Hugh Moore not only brought art and illuminating information and fun to listeners around the world, he was a multi-artist sharing his talents in Illinois. His poetry appeared in numerous journals, he was the winner of the Lincoln Library poetry award, his art was exhibited in central Illinois and Chicago, and he performed classical guitar at several events.
