James Alexander MacDonald Poetry Book Award

We offer the publication of a previously unpublished manuscript of poetry (50-70 pages) in English and author copies for those selected. Include a title page with your name, current address, telephone number, or email address. Also include a short bio and an acknowledgements page.

Mr. MacDonald was an avid lover of books, writing, and poetry. With a BA and MA in English from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, he traveled to Canada and finally settled in the United States in the late '50s. His life cut short at age 49 from complications with rheumatoid arthritis, he left behind a novel based loosely on the amputation of his right foot, short stories and poetry, such as the one written here for his wife.
