A Favorite Dictionary

About a year ago I discovered John Drury’s The Poetry Dictionary (Writer’s Digest, 2006). I love this book. Not only does this book define poetic terms, it also includes lots of extra tidbits like facts, quotes, and poems. I enjoyed this book so much I purchased four copies as birthday presents for my poet friends. While it is a little overwhelming for the less studied poet, it is a must for anyone who writes poetry with even a little seriousness.
